When you awake in the morning, it's always best to get your day started on a positive note and develop some sort of a routine to get into so you develop health habits that will stick with you each morning.

Below are five things we do every single day to get ourselves and body started off on the right foot at Knowzo:

1.) Drink 16 ounces of water with Lemon

The first thing we do every single morning before we do anything is pour a tall glass of water with lemon in it. This not only gets your body going, but revs up your digestive system, aids in digestion, hydrates your body, and helps to rid your body of any bad toxins. From doing this every morning, we've noticed higher energy levels, clearer skin, and better digestion of food throughout the day.

2.) Stretch and Move Around

As soon as we finish a glass of lemon water, we'll grab a foam back roller, yoga mat, and stretch out. This is a great way to get your blood flowing and get your limbs loose to start the day. This doesn't have to be a serious work out by any means, but just some sort of full body movement to get every limb loose.

3.) Go Outside

Even if it is just on the balcony of your apartment or a walk around the block, start your day with some fresh air. Not only will it wake you up quicker, but also fill your lungs with fresh air to remind yourself that you are properly breathing and indeed alive. This little task will also make you appreciate the little things throughout the day and set a stage for positivity.

4.) Eat A Balanced, Healthy Breakfast

Breakfast is always the most important meal of the day and supplies you with energy to get your day started. Some common breakfasts we enjoy at the Knowzo offices are: smoothies, oatmeal, and fruit platters. Having a vitamix in the office, we really enjoy making big smoothies loaded with frozen fruits, greens, almond milk, and some sort of protein. Typically with a smoothie, you aren't too full, and are able to digest it quickly so you don't feel too full.

5.) Shower and Be Hygienic

Managing your personal hygiene is not only beneficial to look and smell good, but also prevent the onset and spread of infectious diseases and illnesses. From showering, to brushing your teeth, to deodorant, and clean clothes; personal hygiene is extremely vital for a healthy mind, body, and soul. It also helps you take proper precaution of not getting ill, and spreading any diseases' or illnessess' around.

These are the five simple steps that the Knowzo staff practices daily to get their day started off on the right foot. Each one of the steps is just as important as the other.
