It is a mental disorder which affect in controlling impulsive behavior and difficulty in paying attention. ADHD is most common in Childhood and this is the neurodevelopmental disorder in children that lead to adulthood.   • Hyperactive or impulsive type ADHD

There is no test identified that can detect whether your child is ADHD patient or not. One study constructed recently highlighted a new way of test to detect ADHD but clinicians are not satisfy with that test and they believe ADHD can’t be Diagnosed with any test.

To diagnose ADHD in your children health care professional will access the symptoms associated with ADHD if your child is suffering from those symptoms from the past sox months. They would like to gather information from your children’s teachers and family members that are close to him and use the checklist of ADHD symptoms and rating scales to identify ADHD. They also do a physical exam therapy to identify any other mental o health problems.

Treatment of ADHD:

Typically there are two ways of treating ADHD that includes treating with behavioral therapy or with medications or with both of them.

Behavioral therapy will help you and your children to learn how o monitor your behavior and manage it.

When you are suspected to be ADHD medications can also be very useful in treating your symptoms. Medicines made for ADHD  are designed in such a way that affect brain chemicals which will enable you to control your actions, impulses and emotions.

Medication for ADHD

Stimulants and non stimulants are two main types of medications that are used to treat patients suffering from ADHD. The most common prescribed medicines are CNS stimulants for ADHD. CNS stimulants work by increasing the brain chemicals dopamine and norepinephrine in amount. CNS stimulant include drugs that are amphetamine and methylphenidate based stimulants. If CNS stimulants don’t work for you then doctors will prescribe non stimulants and they work by increasing norepinephrine. These medicines are some antidepressants like bupropion and some other includes atomoxetine. These medications have benefits for treating as well as side effects.
