With the new mandate to implement the ICD-10 Codes list, there are fears that the cost of diagnosis will start to rise. According to a cost study performed by the American Medical Association, it has been discovered that in a percentage of cases, the implementation of the ICD-10 codes resulted in costs being nearly three times what was originally predicted before the implementation.
